Top 5 Must Try Genki Sushi Singapore Menu
If you’re a sushi lover, you’ve probably heard of Genki Sushi.
Their quirky and fun approach to sushi has gained them a lot of attention, and they’re now one of the most popular Japanese restaurants in Singapore. But what’s so special about Genki Sushi? We’ve rounded up our top 5 must-try menu items to give you an idea!
Salmon Sushi

In the world of sushi, salmon is king.
If you want to experience the fish that makes your mouth water, order a piece of salmon sushi. The fish will be fresh, and the rice will be warm and sticky. It’s the perfect combination of flavors and textures that you won’t find anywhere else.
Furthermore, the salmon sashimi was the perfect balance of fresh and fatty—and it wasn’t even a fatty cut of meat! It was just… perfect. The rice was so soft, it was like eating clouds of heaven. And the pickles were crunchy and refreshing, but not too much so—they were exactly what you want to eat on a hot summer day.

If you’re looking for something more filling, try ordering an entire roll of salmon sushi instead. The rice will be sticky and warm, but there will also be avocado slices in addition to the fish itself—making it a much heartier meal than just a piece or two of nigiri-style sushi would provide!
Salmon Mentai

The salmon mentai is a dish that represents the best of both worlds: it’s a fish that’s been marinated in crispy fried onions and doused with a sweet, creamy sauce. The result is a dish that is simultaneously savory and sweet, which makes it an excellent choice for anyone who wants something that’s not too heavy but still has plenty of flavor.
The salmon itself is cooked just right—not undercooked, but not overcooked either. The texture is firm but tender, and there’s just enough chewiness to make this dish unique and memorable. The sauce is sweet but not too sweet—you can still taste the delicious salmon underneath it all!

If you’re looking for something easy to make at home but tastes like restaurant quality food when you’re done, this dish should definitely be on your list.
Cheese Tobikko Gunkan

The Cheese Tobikko Gunkan is a delicious, crunchy treat that is sure to please. The first bite might be a bit of a shock, but you’ll quickly get used to the texture and find yourself enjoying the flavor.
The Tobikko Gunkan is made with fresh cheese, which makes it very different from other types of Japanese snacks. It has a light crunchy texture that reminds you of eating chips or popcorn, but with more flavor—the taste of cheese comes through in every bite!
If you want something salty and crunchy that’s also different from other snacks, then this one’s for you.
Mentai Roll

When you think of mentai, you probably think of the delicious deep-fried fish roe that’s served on top of rice. But if you’ve never tried it as a sushi topping, you’re missing out!
The Mentai Roll is one of our favorite sushi creations. The combination of spicy tuna, avocado, and tempura flakes is absolutely delectable, and the sauce drizzled on top really brings it all together. While there are many rolls that can be considered “spicy” or “saucy,” this roll stands out from the crowd with its simple yet elegant execution. The result is a creamy, crunchy, creamy roll that will blow your mind.

Whether you’re looking for something new to try or just want to get your mentai fix without having to deal with those pesky bones in your mouth (or your teeth), this roll is sure to satisfy your cravings while surprising your taste buds at the same time!
Volcano Roll

A fiery crab stick and cream cheese maki with salmon flakes, aburi Hokkaido cheese sauce, and sweet nitsume sauce make up the Volcano Roll. The dish is then generously topped with spring onions and ebiko.
The Volcano Roll is one of my favorite rolls on the menu at [restaurant name]. It has a great combination of flavors that are not too overpowering but still leave you feeling satisfied. The crunchiness of the salmon flakes combined with the softness of the crab stick and cream cheese maki creates an amazing texture contrast in your mouth.

The sweet nitsume sauce provides just enough sweetness to complement all of these flavors without being too sweet or drowning out other components of the dish. There is also just enough spice in this roll to give some heat but not enough to make it unbearable for someone who does not like spicy food; however, if you like your food spicy then this roll will definitely satisfy that craving!
Story of Genki Sushi Singapore
The first Genki Sushi establishment to open outside of Japan, Genki Sushi Singapore Menu, opened its doors in 2011.
Fumio Saito, a 24-year-old Japanese sushi chef, created the business with the goal of building the ‘Kaiten’, an avant-garde sushi restaurant with a unique feature (revolving conveyor belt).
He established the first Genki Sushi eatery in Yokohama, Japan, in 1968. He introduced a rotating conveyor belt to serve sushi as a way to blend presenting conventional sushi with contemporary technology. He invented the rotating conveyor belt for serving sushi in this way.
