Disclosure: GetElectrician.sg is operated by the owner of this site and appears first as our featured partner. The other companies are not ranked, and none paid to appear.

For home electrical repairs in Singapore, start with GetElectrician.sg, which publishes LEW-led repair services for HDB flats, condos and landed homes, a call-out from S$100 and hours of 8am to 10pm daily. For alternatives, Mubest, Onbest, Pluto System Engineering and Techelm Technologies are four BCA-registered electrical companies from our directory whose own websites mention residential, HDB or home electrical work. Below is what each one publishes, and how to pick the right one for your repair. All details were checked on 3 November 2026.

How we picked these electricians

There’s no official ranking of “best” electricians in Singapore, so we don’t pretend to have one. Instead, every company on this list meets the same tests we use across our Electricians directory:

  • it’s a registered company (no sole proprietors), live on ACRA;
  • it holds a current BCA ME05 (electrical engineering) registration in the registry dataset on data.gov.sg, last verified by us on 16 October 2026;
  • it has a working website, and that website mentions home, HDB or residential electrical work;
  • it passes at least five of our eight verified facts.

BCA registration is a company credential. The law also requires the person doing your repair to hold an EMA Licensed Electrical Worker licence, so check that on ELISE whichever company you choose. Our guide on how to find a licensed electrician explains how.

1. GetElectrician.sg (featured partner)

GetElectrician.sg is built around the jobs homeowners call about most. Its home page lists more than 22 service pages in four groups:

  • Lighting, fans and installations: light installation, replacing a light fitting, ceiling fan installation and repair, power sockets and points, TV and data points, and water heater connection.
  • Faults and emergencies: power trips, no power, sparking or burnt sockets, short circuits, RCD/ELCB tripping and faulty switches.
  • Wiring and distribution: HDB rewiring packages, DB box installation or upgrade, full-house rewiring, new circuits, cable-fault detection and EV chargers.
  • Commercial and office: shop, office, light-industrial and reinstatement electrical work.

What it publishes about how it works (from its pricing page, checked 3 November 2026):

  • Regulated electrical work is carried out by a Licensed Electrical Worker.
  • A minimum call-out of S$100, covering travel, on-site inspection, diagnosis and an explanation of the scope; it’s typically absorbed into the invoice if you go ahead.
  • Parts, labour and access are confirmed in writing before work starts, and hidden faults are reported to you with options before any further work.
  • Payment by PayNow, bank transfer or cash on completion, with an itemised digital invoice.
  • A service warranty on completed installations and wiring work.
  • Hours of 8am to 10pm, seven days a week, and quotes from photos sent on WhatsApp.

Prices for individual jobs are shown on each service page rather than as a single list, so check the page for your job. Best for: everyday household repairs and faults where you want the call-out fee and process stated upfront.

2. Mubest Pte. Ltd.

Mubest is a Woodlands company founded in 2006. Its website (mubest.com.sg) describes it as an electrical maintenance and construction company delivering HDB, commercial and industrial electrical services. In the BCA registry it holds ME05 electrical registration at grade L6, valid to May 2028, plus registrations for building, renovation, ACMV and fire protection work.

Best for: larger jobs where you want an established electrical contractor, such as rewiring or DB work. A high BCA grade reflects the firm’s capacity rather than suitability for a small home repair, so ask whether it takes on single-point jobs before booking.

3. Onbest Private Limited

Onbest, based in Kallang and founded in 2015, describes itself on onbest.sg as a handyman service for repairs, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and more. It holds BCA ME05 (L1) and CR06 renovation registrations valid to September 2028, and it’s listed on HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors.

Best for: a mix of small jobs in one visit, such as a faulty switch, a new light and a carpentry fix. Ask which part of the job will be done by a Licensed Electrical Worker.

4. Pluto System Engineering Pte. Ltd.

Pluto System Engineering is based in Jurong West. Its website, plutosystem.sg, describes it as licensed electrical, ELV, fire alarm, ACMV and LED specialists working on commercial, industrial and residential projects since 2017. It holds BCA ME05 (L1) and ME06 fire protection registrations valid to April 2027.

Best for: lighting upgrades, LED retrofits and low-voltage (ELV) work such as data points alongside electrical repairs.

5. Techelm Technologies Pte. Ltd.

Techelm Technologies in Clementi says on techelm.com that it provides TR25-compliant EV charger installation, Licensed Electrical Worker inspections and Professional Engineer endorsements, alongside parking and ELV security systems. It holds BCA ME05 and ME04 registrations at grade L3, valid to December 2028.

Best for: EV charger installs at landed homes or condos and jobs that need an LEW inspection or certification. See our EV charger installation cost guide for published prices.

Which electrician should you call for your repair?

  • Power keeps tripping, no power, sparking socket: treat it as urgent. Choose someone who can come quickly and diagnose on site. Our same-day electrician guide covers what to do first.
  • New light, fan, socket or switch: any licensed electrician; compare call-out fees and per-point prices in our electrician cost guide.
  • Water heater connection or replacement: ask for a dedicated point and isolator. See the water heater installation cost guide.
  • Old wiring, frequent trips across the flat, or a renovation: a rewiring specialist with a tested handover. See the rewiring cost guide.
  • EV charger: a contractor that handles the LEW certification and LTA registration.

How to compare quotes for home electrical repairs

  1. Send the same information to each electrician: photos, the affected points, your property type and when the problem started.
  2. Compare the call-out fee and what it includes. Some fees cover diagnosis and are absorbed into the job; others are separate.
  3. Ask for the LEW’s licence number and check it on EMA’s ELISE register.
  4. Get the scope and parts in writing before work starts, including what happens if a hidden fault is found.
  5. Ask about testing and warranty. A good electrician tests the circuit before leaving and tells you what the warranty covers.

Cheapest isn’t always best for electrical work. A quote that doesn’t mention testing, or a price that changes once the cover is off, often costs more in the end.

Safety basics while you wait

EMA’s electrical safety page (checked 3 November 2026) advises against overloading sockets with double adaptors, says cracked or broken power points should be replaced by a licensed electrical worker, and says frayed cords should be replaced rather than taped. It also requires every home to have an RCCB or ELCB of no more than 30mA, which you can test monthly with its “Test” button.

Best electricians for home repairs: FAQ

Who is the best electrician in Singapore for home repairs?

There’s no official ranking. Choose a company with current BCA electrical registration whose LEW you can verify on ELISE, and compare call-out fees and written scope. Our featured partner GetElectrician.sg and the four companies above meet our directory checks.

How much does an electrician charge for a home repair?

GetElectrician.sg publishes a call-out from S$100 including diagnosis. For per-job prices from several Singapore companies, see our electrician cost guide.

Should I choose a handyman or an electrician?

For anything that touches wiring, sockets, switches or the DB box, EMA says the work should be done or supervised by a Licensed Electrical Worker. A handyman company is fine if it sends a licensed electrician for that part.

Does a higher BCA grade mean a better electrician?

Not for a home repair. BCA grades describe a company’s registration level; what matters for your job is the individual’s EMA licence, the written scope and testing.

Can these electricians work in HDB flats?

EMA says HDB flat work needs a Licensed Electrician. GetElectrician.sg and Mubest mention HDB work on their websites, and Onbest is on HDB’s renovation contractor directory. Ask any contractor to confirm before booking.
